Riya is a Junior from NJ & was a 2021 Regeneron ISEF Finalist for her algorithm that used CNN’s to recognize potholes.Riya received the NCWIT AIC Nat’l Honorable Mention Award and volunteers with YouthSTEM2030 exploring the role of STEM in global sustainability.Riya co-founded AIdvocacy, an outreach initiative that promotes equity in STEM education.Riya serves on the NJ Legislative Youth Council,started her school’s chapter of JSA, & is Captain of the Varsity History Bowl team-leading her team to National’s for 3 yrs.Riya loves to paint, golf with her brothers, and play with her dog Coco.Riya hopes to further pursue her interdisciplinary interests & explore the intersection of STEM & public policy in college and beyond!
