Growing up I encountered a few moments of verbal harassment by peers due to my sexuality. Though they were only moments, they affected my perception of myself for years on end. Starting at the 6th line is when I finally let myself indulge in my identity and allow myself to love, regardless of the comments people may throw in my direction.
