Born and raised in New Jersey, Zahara is a social media moderator for Dear Asian Youth who is passionate about activism and Asian culture. They are a Bengali-American sophomore in high school who plays saxophone and is an editor of her school newspaper. Zahara’s biggest passions are linguistics and writing. You will most likely find her reading, watching movies, or cooking up new recipes.
