Emily Chao is a proud first generation Chinese American and a junior at Northgate High School in Walnut Creek, California. She is an aspiring writer, boba enthusiast, and music fanatic. As a passionate advocate for the Asian community, she hopes that through DAY, she can empower and encourage other Asian youth to vocalize their opinions and take pride in their own identities.
