Social Media Manager

Social media fanatics, passionate activists, devoted infographic readers — we’re calling on you! Become a Social Media Manager and play in managing DAY's SM accounts on Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn.

As a Social Media Manager, you will be a part of the Social Media Department's Leadership, collaborating closely with the Co-Heads of Social Media to manage DAY's social media accounts.

Given the managerial nature of the role, strong organizational and communication skills are essential. You should also be well-informed about current news and have a strong awareness of social and Asian issues.

Your responsibilities include:
Manage DAY's social media accounts, including respond to messages and inquiries, archiving posts as needed, updating story highlights, etc
Post on our Instagram story; reshare content sent by DAY Team members and DAY Chapters, reshare politically relevant post, and otherwise maintain activity on our stories
Convert Social Media content to fit LinkedIn's platform and create original content
Attend weekly Social Media Leadership meetings
Time commitment: 6 hours/week.

Qualities We Look For

Soft Skills: commitment to the cause, integrity, strong work ethic, strong dependability, creativity, outstanding communication, strong organization skills, teamwork capabilities, adaptability, leadership, and grounded knowledge in politically sensitive content.

Hard Skills: familiarity with LinkedIn + Instagram + TikTok, excellent written communication skills, social media management experience
