As a Marketing Co-Director, you will work alongside another Marketing Director to lead the Marketing Department. Your responsibilities include guiding our marketing department by evaluating and developing marketing strategies, planning and coordinating marketing efforts and campaigns, communicating the marketing plans to those involved, and building awareness and positioning for Dear Asian Youth and our initiatives. You will also be expected to analyze data and recommend relevant marketing strategies by identifying various facts and trends.
You will work to market projects and products for all Dear Asian Youth departments, including Projects, Social Media, Chapters, Podcast, Literature, etc. For example, your work may entail developing and executing strategies to...
- Promote the DAY brand and improve our image
- Increase attendance for Dear Asian Youth events
- Grow listeners for our podcast, Dear Asian Girl
- Grow readers for our literature pieces
- Grow average website visits
- Promote our chapter program
- Promote any projects launched by our various teams, including any toolkits, guides, zines, video essays, etc.
Most importantly, a director of Dear Asian Youth needs to be passionate, hardworking, kind, and creative. You will be expected to facilitate a healthy and productive work environment in which all members of the Marketing Department feel safe, heard, and respected. As one of the members of the Executive Board, you will also make other administrative decisions that steer Dear Asian Youth towards a sustainable future.
This position will require up to 8-12 hours per week.
