Chief Operating Officer

As a member of DAY's Senior Leadership, you will be tasked with helping Dear Asian Youth fulfill its highest potential by overseeing daily operations alongside the Executive Director, VP, Chief of Staff, and CFO. You will direct actions across the organization by communicating with and providing guidance to multiple departments. Additionally, you will ensure internal workflow by creating a positive work environment. The area of responsibility is extensive and will require excellent organizational abilities, dependability, strong management skills, exceptional communication skills, and a curious mind.
Essentially, we are looking for an organized, dependable jack of all trades!

- Manage and oversee the Human Resources Team;
- Ensure that daily responsibilities for team members are accessible and efficient with the support of Operations team members;
- Spearhead the creation of intuitive resources for teams; identify gaps / needs in resources for teams alongside Chief of Staff;
- Oversee and improve upon DAY’s application and recruitment process;
- Oversee and continuously build upon DAY’s onboarding process;
- Oversee all of DAY’s technology and website operations;
- Develop DAY Team member’s talent and nurture growth within the organization;
- Host professional development workshops, run pro dev programs internally (peer-to-peer mentorship, resume review), identify weaknesses in leadership & assist them in growth, etc.;
- Make improvements / changes where necessary to increase efficiency, improve DAY’s culture, and maximize organizational impact;
- and other operational/administrative tasks as needed.
- Familiarity with Basecamp is a plus.

Time commitment: 15 hrs/week. We provide a modest stipend of $640/mo for this role.
