DAY Prism, Dear Asian Youth's department focusing on LGBTQ+ topics

About Prism

Prism was founded in June 2021 and is led by Ishani Solanki and Sunal Fernando. Prism works to highlight topics that relate to the LGBTQ+ community through articles and interview videos. Prism is made up of 30+ youth who all share a passion of advocating for the LGBTQ+ community.

DAY Prism Scholarship 2023

DAY Prism sought to give scholarships to 6 LGBTQ+ individuals who are working to uplift LGBTQ+ youth and the community through 3 fields of Advocacy, the Arts and STEM. DAY Prism's scholarships were divided into these three distinct categories to uplift Queer Asians in underrepresented fields. Each recipient was awarded $1,000 to support them in their education and work.
